The Church of the Kingdom of God traces its history to the original organization created by Jesus of Nazareth in the 1st century A.D. The Church was led by Jesus and the twelve Apostles were in charge of overseeing the organization of the Church on earth. The Apostles taught Salvation by faith in Christ, repentance of sins, baptism by immersion, the laying on of hands to receive the Holy Spirit, healing of the sick, ordination to ministry, resurrection of the dead and judgment According to our works. When the first Apostles died, others were called to be Apostles.
Over time many men deformed the Doctrine of Jesus for their own benefit. They introduced false doctrines, banned true doctrines and persecuted the men of God. The world fell into Apostasy. But God did not abandon his children. In the 1820s, God chose one of his sons to be the Living Prophet of his people, his name was Joseph Smith Jr. During the next two years until his brutal martyrdom Joseph Smith dedicated himself to restoring the Church of Jesus Christ, the Holy Priesthood and all the commandments and ordinances. In those years he made many revelations and prophecies.
With the death of Joseph Smith in 1844 the Church of God disappeared again from the fas of the earth. Since then many men (heretics, apostates and opportunists) tried to use the laws of God and the fame of Joseph Smith. These corrupt men led the world to a new Apostasy.
Before he died (knowing that he would not complete his mission) Joseph Smith prophesied of the last Living Prophet, the Mighty and Strong One, who would definitely restore the Church and the Priesthood, would gather the twelve tribes of Israel and enforce all the commandments and laws of God. That prophecy said the following:
“And it shall come to pass that I, the Lord God, will send one mighty and strong, holding the scepter of power in his hand, clothed with light for a covering, whose mouth shall utter words, eternal words; while his bowels shall be a fountain of truth, to set in order the house of God, and to arrange by lot the inheritances of the saints whose names are found, and the names of their fathers, and of their children, enrolled in the book of the law of God:
While that man, who was called of God and appointed, that putteth forth his hand to steady the ark of God, shall fall by the shaft of death, like as a tree that is smitten by the vivid shaft of lightning.”
This powerful prophecy was fulfilled in recent years in South America, more precisely in Argentina, when God chose the new Living Prophet by divine revelation: One Mighty and Strong. Thus the Kingdom of God Church, the Priesthood and all the laws and covenants of God were restored.
